You are vital to this action, without you, there will be no AB2140. This may be the single most important piece of legislation for Blackfish, EVER. Not only does it in ensure no more Orca will be taken from the wild, it prevents import and export from the the state of California, it prevents captive breeding programs and it gives Blackfish a future without enslavement. Most of all, it sets precedent for the remainder of the country to pass similar laws, which could make way for a FEDERAL BAN on captive Cetaceans. **The bill goes before The Water, Parks and Wildlife Committee at a hearing on April 8.** ***CALIFORNIANS are KEY to passing this bill into LAW!!*** 1. Send an email to their CA State Assembly Member, writing a concise, short, polite note with the official number of the bill: AB2140 and the word SUPPORT in caps in the subject line if writing an email, a letter or making a Facebook Comment. **Important note: INCLUDE YOUR POSTAL ADDRESS, proving that you live in their district. In conversations with several key political staffers it was made very clear that at this point for this bill, individual Assembly Members really stressed the importance of hearing from their own constituents.
