I am excited to share this rave review of Earnest in Macau, but truly, no words can express how proud I am to be a part of this amazing production. It is a great pleasure and privilege to be on stage with this very fine company of actors, all of whom are very much on top of their game and giving their all. Glen, myself, Tony and all at WILD RICE are so deeply grateful to every single person who has played a part in its creation and development since 2009. Macao was the first time Earnest played to an international audience and, to be honest, we were nervous about how the denizens would react. But the howls of laughter, and gasps of surprise and delight from a diverse crowd from age ten to seventy five sitting on the edge of their seats, quickly put our fears to rest. W!LD RICE is committed to touring our shows internationally to raise the profile of Singapore theatre, to create an international awareness of our unique productions, and to engage its artists and collaborators in creative dialogues with the international arts community.
