I am just too damn old to be let loose in a big city!! Had a meeting in Houston today so I decided to drive over a day ahead to avoid early morning traffic. I used to be able to maneuver all over that town!! First, I wasnt able to get away from work early and arrived at my place of lodging at almost 9 pm. Not to worry, as I approached my room on the second level across the parking lot, I noticed at least 4 other single ladies leaning on the balcony railing, probably waiting for appointments! Let me say, just because a hotel has Galleria in its name doesnt give it any elegant distinction!! Fortunately the evening passed without incident...and I had no appointments!! But the traffic!!! Several times both arriving and leaving the city, I was forced to slam on my brakes and throw out my hand over the passenger seat, protecting some phantom child from 34 years ago!!! Just had to get home and have a drink!!
