I am particularly annoyed that MAM has such a laissez-faire attitude about the fact that this outbreak is traced to Disneyland. This is the problem: Disneyland is a tourist attraction, and on top of that, its a common destination for children in the Make-a-Wish program. If Portland breaks out in mumps, nobody gives a shit because theyre stupid anti-vax hipsters who probably deserve whatever happens to them. If Disneyland breaks out with a virus, it has a heightened potential to infect infants, immuno-compromised patients, the elderly, citizens from other countries, and everyones favorite cartoon characters.
