I am so glad to find this Salon article on FB. I have been so - TopicsExpress

I am so glad to find this Salon article on FB. I have been so unimpressed by how many educated people express themselves poorly on these threads that I was beginning to think I have become too judgmental, too critical of my peers. Poor spelling is the norm, lack of punctuation--especially the apostrophe (wont) is a given, single words (alright) at the bottom of several differing opinions when a phrase, a reference to one of the above opinions would give us a hint as to what the hell is alright. Unlike email, FB allows us to go back and change to to too or two. We can delete whole sentences so as to not appear too biased or stupid. So how many people bother? The one faux pas that bugs me the most is the use of he and I instead of him and me. (Ray will judge he and I on our merits. If you dropped he from the sentence, would you say, Ray will judge I on my merits.?) How could anyone graduate from high school without learning basic grammar?
