I am so lucky to have found my soulmate in this life. Many people will never experience what Ive been blessed to experience and it really saddens me. Some people are afraid of marriage, some choose the wrong person, some marry for money and lifestyles, and some are forced into marriage by their parents(whom also choose who they will marry). I am so sorry to all of those people because they are truly missing out on such a beautiful thing. I have never been happier in my entire life. I used to paint a picture in my head of my dream guy. Dark hair, great jaw line, great abs, tall, 2-4 years in age older, great teeth etc. When I saw Landon Swank walking down the hallway to meet for the first time.. I was floored. It was like God took the EXACT image from my mind and placed it in human from right in front of me. Neither of us could speak for the first 5 minutes, no exaggeration. I had finally been single from a horrible abusive relationship (like every other relationship prior) and I was loving life being free. I was not looking for anything, I didnt want to be with anyone, but when I saw Landon, it was like a switch flipped internally and I knew I would never date anyone else again in my life. I knew he was the one. Ive always heard the saying youll just know and thought I understood what it meant, but I didnt... Until that moment with landon. You may think youre in love or lust.. But that is nowhere close to those feelings. It was as if my soul knew him.. I didnt know his last name, dreams, family life etc, but I knew HIM. My mind body and emotions said there you are, finally! What took you so long thank god youre here at last. This is not an exaggeration. I just KNEW! When I was growing up I also made a checklist of everything I wanted my husband to have. As I got to know him in more detail, he has every SINGLE thing on my checklist and more! Perfectly family, intelligence, dreams, great work ethic, kind, driven, etc. I was floored.. I could not believe he was real and that I was lucky enough to get to be with him. I am not saying we did not have arguments or struggles, because everyone has those. Youre two people from two different upbringings, of course there are going to be compromises and changes, but thats what you do in a relationship. No ones perfect, and it takes work to understand eachother.. But you have to be willing to put that work into your relationship to succeed. We learned to communicate, to respect eachothers morals and feelings, to compromise, and to trust each other. I am so proud of where we are today and I thank GOD everyday for putting him in my life. I hated this world before Landon (I believe those who go to heaven are the fortunate ones because people have made this world so ugly at times) but now that I have him I want to wake everyday just to be with him. I miss him when hes in the next room, I dont need to leave the state or house to miss him. He is my best friend, partner, soulmate, and love of my life. I can tell him any and everything without judgment. He accepts me and I him. You shouldnt need to have space just to miss your partner. Yes, absence makes the heart grow fonder, but why wouldnt you want to be with that person as much as possible? Please dont settle, dont allow yourself to be abused or degraded. You deserve more and god will bring it to you if youre patient. Dont go out of your way to search, let it come. Let god do his work because he is more brilliant than you know. His plans are much better than the ones we have for ourselves. If you dont feel the feeling I just described to you then you are not with the right person. Allow yourself to be happy and have what I have. It will happen for you too.. Be patient. Dont be afraid to love, and dont be afraid of marriage just because you see divorce. That doesnt mean its going to happen to you, especially if you choose right. I love you Landon and I thank you and god for making my life worth living.
