I am so scared right now. I mean I just woke up one day and everyone seemed to have attended a meeting I wasnt invited for. GEJ or GMB? Whats really happening that I am not aware of. You think they can change or transform you come February 14th? Who taught us to believe that things will change with just one man alone up there? You see, many of us fighting ourselves and chanting change will be the same persons sorting in exams or cheating or bribing our way up. Many of us asking for change, will readily do anything wrong just to be ahead or disobey laws. We will still burn candle wax and place in a cup so we give wrong measurements when someone comes to buy rice/garri/beans from us. We will be the ones hiding books in the library so others dont see it. We will become sycophants just so we get some peanuts from some politician. We will even sell the free mosquito nets given to us to distribute freely to others. We will support piracy of books and even go ahead to promote plagiarism. We will bribe police officers because we have failed to renew our licenses or because we have no complete papers. We will deliberately fail our students so they meet us and settle us in kind or cash. We will be the ones to come late to work and then sleep all day or gist or act unconcerned. We will even divert things given to us to share for people in our wards or team. We will even refuse to challenge injustice when we see it happening to others. We will be the ones mal-treating our helps, servants or employees. We will be so intolerant of the beliefs, religion and ethnic differences of our neighbours/class-mates/colleagues etc...... Nigeria is a Reflection of our collective contributions to it. Nigeria is not a map or some geographical symbol. Nigeria is not One man. Nigeria is Us. We make it what it is.
