I am thrilled to be embarking on the Socks for Sisters journey. My work emulates the work of Bonnie Acker who created The W.O.O.L. Fund-Warm Out of Love, with her son, Andrew, as a mitzvah for his Bar Mitzvah several years ago. In honor of Bonnie and other fallen sisters, I have decided to begin with the Leila J. Eisenstein Breast Center and gift each newly-diagnosed patient with a pair of socks and message of hope and love. After the success at the LLJ Breast Center, I will move onto the general Hematology/Oncology Department and change to Socks for Survivors, all cancers-all people, then hopefully move onto another hospital. Yes, Im a dreamer! I welcome monetary donations or donations of the warmest, coziest (new) socks that you can find! I have attached the card below that will be attached to each pair of socks.
