I am the mother of a young black prince who I am grooming to be a king amongst men, who will make a valuable contribution to this world that he may leave it a better place. He understands the responsibility that rests on his shoulders as he stands on the shoulders of all those who went before him and he has to stand stronger for those who will in turn stand on his shoulders. Please stop sharing these negative images of our youths. The same energy spent finding and commenting on these images can be spent finding positive images and role models to share so that you can nurture the psyche of our young men and women towards the images of themselves that they can strive to be.
