Students recently participated in a school-wide shoe drive benefiting Ozark Water Projects, Inc.. Over the course of one week students brought in over 3,800 pairs of shoes! These donated shoes will be sent to distributors in South America, Haiti and Kenya. Shoe resale builds the local developing economy with micro businesses and affordable shoes for pennies on the dollar or barter. Affordable shoes are a life saving tool as they protect the new owner’s feet and overall health. Funds generated are used to purchase well-digging rigs, water purification systems, and other supplies to bring clean, fresh water to those in need.
