I apologize for the long post, but I feel the need to rant. I have decided I really dont like Calebs OT. She rarely smiles, and it seems like she never gives Caleb credit where credit is due. For instance, self dressing has been a major issue. He finally about a month ago mastered the basics. So we go in and super proud tell her that he accomplished a LONG standing goal, and she said, Can you button, zip, and tie yet? Didnt even give him any credit for what he did do. She constantly beats him at games, and wonders why he doesnt want to play them with her. She is hell bent on him supinating his hand on his own, and he has no activation when he tries. Today we go in, and the first thing Caleb says is he wants to practice baseball skills, because he is about to start playing. She said ok, and preceded to play Trouble, Hang Man, Connect 4 and did nothing baseball related. She is honestly starting to piss me off (pardon my language, but that is what I feel) He has a new brace, and he hates it. She wants it on his hand 24 hours a day pretty much. We saw his PM&R doctor Weds, and she said to only wear it while he is sleeping, which he has been. His OT asked why he wasnt wearing his brace, and I told her he was following the doctors recommendations. Then she asked me what other recommendations are.... Um, isnt her job to know? He saw the PM&R doctor at noon on Weds, at 4pm Weds his PT had already adjusted his routine, because she read the recommendations as soon as they were sent. The OT hasnt even looked at them, and it has been about a week that they were put in the system. Ok rant over, I think!
