I apologize if anyone feels offended by my following thought... The typhoon that slammed the Philippines has spawned fundraising efforts across the US. I think it is terrific to see the continuous heartfelt efforts. The same spirit was shown for the people of Japan following that massive earthquake to tsunami a couple of years ago. On this evenings news CBS was reporting about the destruction and devastation due to tornadoes sweeping across Illinois. Families are displaced, homes are match sticks, and businesses are closed. These people are facing this struggle on our soil. I think it would be a true testament to the pride of America, if at least the same amount of effort put forth for the Philippines and Japan happened here at home. Id like to think that we would pull together and take care of our fellow Americans. Not judging, just voicing a thought.
