I believe yesterday was just about a perfect day. Announced Andrews new business in the parade, our little family all working together. An extra thanks to my mom for riding along and getting our brochures to me, and to Robert, for taking the day off work to drive the truck and get his dads brochures to him. It was really great to see so many of our friends on the parade route. Nancy Leshley, I am so glad you hollered at me, it was so good to see you,if even just for a minute! We had lunch at the festival where I also got to see Crystal White Clark for a minute as well, good to see you too! We then took time out to pay our respects to a friend whose mom had passed away, Im praying for them as they adjust to life without her but rejoicing in the fact that there is not a shadow of doubt in my mind that she is rejoicing with Jesus this morning. I am also thankful to be back where I have friends I have known basically all my life. I love all my friends, but those ones who have known you forever and still love you anyway, those are priceless. After that, I got my outside fall decorating started. Thank you Clinton and Jolyn Bigard for having pumpkins, gourds and straw at a price we can afford to decorate! That has just started being a ritual, to go to Bigards Pumpkins. We ended our evening on the square, watching two great bands with strong roots in Jasper county. Looking very forward to watching those careers over the next few years.It was nice seeing several more Jasper county friends there as well. I have been back home almost 10 years now and never get tired of it, theres no place like home. Catch the Spirit, Live the Dream. Im very much doing it. (and my fitbit says I walked over 5 mile for the day!)
