I came across some paintings on line, by Ben Abril, that were done back in the 50s - 70s if any of you came to our house or my cousins house you would have seen many of them. These are not the ones in our home but we have similar of the Canneries and Newport Pier. Bens favorite places to paint were icons of Newport, old buildings, boats, barns, old cars, landscapes, oceans. He did several of the Canneries, Pavillion, the ferry, Crab Cooker, Newport Pier (which we have one of those) His painting are or were found in Laguna where he painted many ocean landscapes there too. Ben and my Dad were friends since grammar school and was an inspiration to me since I was 11 he gave me oil painting lessons. The paintings I have are in storage so I cannot get photos of them for a while. Some of you might recognize the boats.
