I can honestly say that I walked out of that meeting with more - TopicsExpress

I can honestly say that I walked out of that meeting with more questions and concerns than when I went in. There are way too many unanswered questions that CANT be answered till after the vote. How is that? It doesnt appear there is a plan for the future if this is voted in because its up to the new board which doesnt exist at this time. Yes I seen the proposed curriculum outlined of proposed offerings but not much else can be decided or answered at this time. Is it possible our Catlin school could be deactivated anyway in a few years, yes sounds like a possibility and up to the new board which right now doesnt exist. I think the Committee of Ten did their job in proposing and investigating the option but the unforeseen is a scary thing and I feel there is a lot of unforeseen here. The topic of sports as far as Jr High sports all being at Jamaica and high school split between the two schools still continuing. It was said this would be because of the co-op however if this is voted yes we are not a co-op any longer we are one school. So why wouldnt jr. high be split as well? I might be wrong but someone mentioned if this is voted yes that maybe the first year things stay the same and have the year to come up with a plan and answers to all these questions. I know the main concern is what is best for the kids but if there isnt a plan how is this a benefit to the kids?
