I cannot figure out this one at all. I have a recipe which is one i do if unexpected company are dropping in for a coffee and I want to make a wee bit something but do not have time. I love this as it is fool-proof and moist - always get compliments from it... Applesauce Fudge Brownies Microwave Applesauce Fudge Brownies ½ cup butter or margarine 2 Tsp vanilla extract 2 1-ounce squares unsweetened baking chocolate 1 cup flour (6 TBSP cocoa powder) ½ Tsp baking powder 1 cup packed dark brown sugar ¼ Tsp baking soda ½ cup applesauce (unsweetened) 1 cup chopped walnuts. 2 eggs Place butter and chocolate in a 3-quart glass mixing bowl. Microwave, uncovered, at (Power Level 10) for 2 to 3 ½ minutes, or until melted. Stir in brown sugar, applesauce, eggs, and vanilla. Blend in flour ¼ cup at a time. Add baking powder and soda. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into a well-greased 8-inch round baking dish. Microwave, uncovered, at (Power Level 5) for 12 to 14 minutes. Cover and let stand 5 minutes, then allow to cool, uncovered. Store in a tightly covered container Makes 16 brownies NOTE; Changes for my smaller microwave oven: Used half the recipe, but had no baking chocolate squares, so used 2 TBSP cocoa powder and was short on nuts, so only ¼ cup pecans as allergic to walnuts. Had on high for 20 minutes in 1 ½ lb loaf pan and put a handful of chocolate chips on top for last few minutes instead of icing. (not as good as the full version for a 1000 Watt or higher microwave oven)
