I commented on someones post about suicide. I am posting it here, also. Suicide, the point of no return. In years past I have had the privilege of a few people coming to me to express their feelings of suicide. They were thinking about it. I say, privilege because I was quite honored that they came to me and could let it out and tell me they were thinking about suicide. I, for what ever reason, wrote a nice little piece about suicide years ago. So, my first words to them was, Suicide, the point of no return. They looked at me questioningly, with a frown, and, I knew, they didnt understand what I meant. I again said, Suicide, the point of no return. Again, they frowned. I said, When one commits suicide, there is no return. You cannot change your mind. They looked at me, again, a bit perplexed. I, reiterated, If you commit suicide, you cannot change your mind and come back. The look on their face, was, again, almost misunderstanding. Again, I said, If you go away, you cant come back. Youre gone, forever. Then, I would see the understanding of what I had said upon their face. We talked more and when we were done, they hugged me and cried. The ones that confided in me are to this day, still alive. And, sometimes, we might see each other somewhere and we hug, and, depending on where were at, we might talk for awhile. Especially, if we are at a bar. And, sometimes, they will bring it up. They look at me and say, If it werent for you, I would be dead. They tell people around us. What Im saying is, if someone you know comes to you about suicide, tell them. Suicide, the point of no return. If some one is reading this that is thinking about suicide, Think about it, Suicide, the point of no return. You can not change your mind.
