I discovered a new galaxy tonight. While shooting M45 and the surrounding areas up into Andromeda, I found this faint, blurry bluish patch of something in a few exposures. Doubled back, and took a few overexposed shots to get the framing right, then swapped out for my 250mm and took a quick stack of lights and darks. When I stacked em up, I found I had captured an unknown (to me) galaxy. This was a really cool feeling, and its stuff like this that keeps me going with this hobby. I love it.
