I do not believe in smiling all the time or in all communication. - TopicsExpress

I do not believe in smiling all the time or in all communication. I do not think it healthy, necessary ,and I believe it interferes with a persons ability to express themselves honestly and maintain emotional steadiness and poise, as well as a sense of connectedness to ones true self. To not be smiling does not equal anger or unhappiness, if one is not smiling they may focused, attentive, relaxed, concentrating. Also not every expression that is not pleasant is not necessarily bad, we should stop over reacting and learn to accept a broader spectrum of expression, as well as learn to have the right intention not to direct it at others. I think people have a form of reverse bullying where they force you to be too cheerful, obedient, compliant and if you do not they make the false claim that you are a angry bully or bad person and that this is a strategy for gaining instantaneous obedience and compliance from others. I think we should aim for more organic, uncontrived- flexible fluid spectrum of expression and communication. This doesnt mean never smile but allow for more flexibility, and fluidity in communication.
