I do think the idea behind the challenge is great to some aspects, such as bringing awareness to everyones attention but heres why I will not partake in the challenge. Instead of hopping on the bandwagon do half of you even know what your donations are going towards, or did you just blindly send some people money? Did you know that you just supported testing on animals? Also, for this ALS research they take the money you donate and give it back to big pharma to find a cure. You know that big pharma makes money off of you being sick, not healthy right? They also bring in at least $200,000 per person that has cancer, why would big pharma find a cure when theyre making this much money? Now, now, dont get all butt hurt and I do like to donate money and time to charities but first make sure you know what exactly they do with the money and what its going towards. Theres so many wonderful and even local charities that I have personally been impacted by such as nikolasritschelfoundation.org/ they are spectacular people and do many great things for cancer patients. So, all I ask is please think for yourself and do some research first instead of doing what everyone else does. And if you really want to help people out, donate your time to a local animal shelter, go spend some time with old people in the nursing home, or go to a homeless shelter. Theres plenty of people around you that could use your help, its doesnt have to even be about money. Do good things and remember not everyone has to see them for you to do them.
