I dont do much acting but it does happen occasionally and I have been in the Guild 16 years. Today at gym, I was talking to my fellow underemployed actor Chippy Boy and we were talking about the nuttiness of our peers and it dawned on me that actors are just hyper-sensitive versions of every other type of person. I said to him that when you go to Auto Zone for a fan belt, you find the right one for your wheels, you install and all is fine. The fan belts you dont pick dont sulk around the Hollywood Y because you didnt take them--and thats really the only philosophy to have about getting acting jobs or for that matter, anything--you fit or you dont and if you dont, be the fan belt and know the right car is coming. Hopefully.
