I dont know if you knew this but the Shakeys Pizza Parlor at Speedway & Craycroft routinely sold to minors, I started drinking there when I was 15 and was routinely served whenever I could scrape my nickels together and swing by (on my bicycle), of course it helped to buy a Pizza and that I believe was the real key to my success. A BIG thanks to the old gents at Shakeys that realized that even a kid could use a drink once in a while. I really shed a tear when they tore the old building down.....lots of good memories of driving my bicycle drunk down side streets trying to remember how to get home.
