I dont like it, and do not want to accept it, but this article outlines the rationale that it contends will stop Obama from pursuing the prosecution of officials responsible for torture in previous administrations. It contends that the only way to stop it is to elect presidents who will not do it. Im not sure that is possible. If its not possible the rationale posed should not be accepted. But nothing in the article precludes Obama from firing CIA Director John Brennan or anyone else in his own administration responsible for torture or being an apologist for it.
