I dont teach children anymore but I just HAD to write a lesson plan just for them today. I dont love them any less just because I dont teach. A PENGUIN FAMILY There once were two little penguins Not quite like the others around And in fact, most birds In so many words said “Bless The love, they’ve found! Bless Their love How blessed, their love, How blessed the love they’ve found.” So they went with a hop and a waddle and a hop Like the happiest penguins around. The 2 little different penguins Worked hard and remained so dear! But in fact, some birds With hate for their words Said, “Back, Get out of here! Back, Get out! Get Back, Get out! Get back, get out of here!” So they went with a hop and a waddle and a hop With a very unhappy tear. All through the winter time, They hid themselves away, Afraid to show their face, Afraid of what others might say, All through the winter, Taking turns to protect and feed, Until… An abandoned egg rolled out at them, And they very soon agreed: What a precarious find indeed! And the penguins said, “Us?! An Egg? We are family now! Hurrraaay!!!!” We’re not like the other families, With a mum and a dad around! But we will keep it warm From dawn till dawn And give our best in town! Best, the best Our best, the best Our best, the best in town! Then… a pop and a shuffle and a pop and a crack! OUT came a baby penguin With a snowy white back!! With her head so noble and high! 3 cheers for the happy family! Aye Aye!!!
