I eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. My 1967 mansion designed and built by Owens Concorde Yachts, Baltimore, MD., now Concorde Yachts, floats on Town Creek, California, MD with a total living area of about 1000 square feet. It includes 3 interior cabins, 1 full bath, full galley with dinette that converts to a double berth, aft cabin with 360 degree panoramic view through surrounding sliding ports, windshield ports and an 8 ft. sliding glass door aft entrance, a forward V berth cabin with queen sized berth, one aft interior lounge deck, one flying bridge deck, large midship topside deck with forward looking moulded bench seating, and a bow deck hosting dual anchors. It is powered by dual heavy block 454 cu. in. Marine Power 350 hp gasoline marine motors, which combined can develop over 700 horsepower consuming about one mile per gallon of 93 octane fuel. Value ? (Motors valued at $10k) The same comparable quality vessel with state of the art accouterments, electronics, navigation, radar, etc., today about $360,000. A poor mans floating condo with a million dollar view. My mascot is a Great Blue Heron Ive dubbed Dack short for pterodactyl, because thats what he reminds mebof when I hear his eerie call when he flies by. He stands ominously over 3 feet tall. Living aboard is not for everyone, especially year round; however, the wonerful days are pure heaven to me.
