I feel like such a terrible pet parent (apparently Hills Pet - TopicsExpress

I feel like such a terrible pet parent (apparently Hills Pet Nutrition refer to their consumers this way) to my cat Snuggles. In all the years I have had him, which is at least three years now maybe a little more, I have never taken him to the vet for any check-ups. I foolishly thought because he looks and seems healthy that I dont need to take him and thats wrong. I know that loving him, feeding him, brushing him and cleaning up the occasional mess isnt all that is involved in taking care of a pet. I never had to take him to the vet or take any of our cats to the vet by myself before because we all went as a family all those years ago, Cory, Mom and I. I have made an appointment to get him to the vet this weekend and Im hoping they can squeeze me in. I feel terrible about this. I would have loved to have another cat, but apparently Im not even that great at taking care of the one I have. :(
