I forgot to tell you guys of my scary experience yesterday. While I was going to start my small controlled burn I had to turn the valve that feeds water to the other half to the property. Well needless to say their was some sand and debris in the pipe that held the valve. I used the metal thing that turns the valve to dig out around inside of the pipe. I had on good leather gloves which saved me. I had managed to pull a 6 inch scorpion out in a pile of debris. I didnt see it at the time and continued to try and get the stuff out of the pipe. I turned on the water and remembered why I had shut the valve off in the first place. One of the faucets in the yard was broken and the water was poring out on the ground. I went back to turn the valve off again and there he was as big as you please. I grabbed a shovel and cut its head off. Man I am so lucky that it was cold out and that I had good gloves on. Otherwise it would have gotten me for sure. Dogged a bullet
