I found an interesting article i wrote several years ago...titled how to take the dead out of the deadlift...this goes back to 1992 after my first trip to westside barbell...my deadlift was stuck at 575lbs forever it seemed...back then i deadlifted weekly...i told Louie my dead was dead...he simply said stop deadlifting and concentrate on getting my hamstrings and lower back and abs stronger...he told me do that and try deadlifting after 8 weeks for a strength test....8weeks later i pulled 675lbs....it still works that way today in 2014 but people dont believe it because they lack confidence in themselves to drop something from their program...like Lou said train whats weak and u will become strong...
