I found this comment from someone I dont know, but I thought it - TopicsExpress

I found this comment from someone I dont know, but I thought it was worth sharing. When I was a child, many years ago (Im old), I asked someone about this. He was my science teacher. I still hear his voice when I repeat what he said. And with 3 children of my own, and 7 grandchildren ( even though politically they do not agree with me, my answer is what Mr. Baker said to me) God is God. What is time to the Almighty Father who knows every speck of every being? We humans, as we became wiser with knowledge, are the ones who decided days, weeks, months, years. We know God to be a patient God, so when He said let there be light, and let there be day, He waited for the skies to form, the stars, planets, moons, suns, universe , all things that make up light. When He was satisfied with light, he said , this is good! When God said , let there be dry land, He waited for the dry land to desperate from the waters of the earth. When He was happy, He said, this is good! When God said, Let there be creatures great, and small, he did not just mean little furry kittens, and large elephants, He made all creatures, great, and small. When He was happy, he said, This is good! As you see, God made ALL things... Here we say, but the Bible says 7 days, so children, I ask of you, to think a mere moment and ask yourself, with God what is a day, but that mere moment of 24 hours, or is it millions of years? Do we, as humans, as Christians, understand that God is all powerful, and for Him a mere moment could be a million years to us? Or could it, at the time of the writing of our precious Holy Bible, be understood that we now understand what a million years is, but that 5000, or 10,000 years ago we could not have understood the length of time? Is it possible still that for God, the very breath you take, is His artwork, and He has used the matters if time to perfect His creation into who you are, right now? And that each day for you, is a millionth, or even a billionth of a day for our Lord? Yeah. Those words still resonate with me. I do not question the length of Gods seven days. For to look at all He made, is wondrous, and to know He is far from done ... That takes my breath.
