I get calls daily from ppl needing help. They vary from call to call, but 99.9 % need something, and of the 99.9 that do, most need vet care for their animal. Its relief when all they need is food or to bring an animal in. I always feel like ive been hit in the gut when its vet care that is needed. I think of the animal suffering and it is hard to shake. My heart hurts to not be able to help these animals just out of my reach, but Im not spared the story of the need for their help, only the ability to help. I got a call 2 days ago from a mam saying his puppy was very ill. It was Parvo I know. No money for a vet, so all I could do was tell him the puppy would die without it, suggest he borrow $$ from a family member, and then hang up the phone. Something has got to be done to stop ppl from getting animals if they are not able to vaccinate them. Too many are suffering and dying that do not have to. What in the world can be done?
