I got a call from my roommate a while back who had been ministering to this guy and his wife. The guy was a drug dealer/gang banger & the guy had been talking about killing himself. My roommate wanted me to go and talk to him. As I began to listen to the guys story and show concern for him he shared about his horrific childhood & present life. He was an atheist addicted to pcp (he was high at the time) & not only was he planning on killing himself but someone else that night as well. But I was able to biblically answer some of his questions about life and share my story with him. We spent around 4 hours with the gentleman that night gaining his trust & friendship. He didnt make a statement of faith or claim to believe in God that night but we were able to pray with him and I knew we made an impact on him. He actually gave me a ring off of his finger after we prayed that night & I wore it for a while reminding myself of the bond we made and also to pray for him but I honestly doubted if I would ever see him again. A few weeks later to my surprise he and his family showed up at our church. I was preaching that night and he was on the front row. He responded to the altar call & he later ended up having to spend some time in jail where our pastor went to see him every week to do a bible study. He was baptized two weeks ago and this is him NOW :) all glory to the God of mercy & redemption! Empowerment Church meeknessmusicgroup
