I guess many will be posting early Easter greetings which is fine. These last two days, we have been reminded about the Passion of Christ. We were also reminded of the betrayal of Judas. This morning I read Fr. Cantalamessas homily for Good Friday. He asked some pertinent questions which I think is good for us all to reflect before attending this evenings vigil. Have you betrayed Jesus too? During these last 40 days, did you make any effort to make a serious examination of your conscience? Have you sacrificed Jesus to pursue your own earthly desires? Did you at least try and do some form of fast and abstinence? Have you sold Jesus out yourself for your 30 pieces of silver? So before we get too carried away by the lure of the Easter bunny, eggs and all other paraphernalia associated with the commercial version of this most Holy of our Christian calendar, give it some thought first.
