I had a bit of a scare yesterday. I took the canoe out to the water conservation area to do some exploring. As usual, I went way to far and had to struggle to get back by sundown. I went through my gallon and a half of water and had nothing for the last two hours. I got extremely dehydrated and very weak, finally tossing my cookies. When I got back to civilization there was a film crew shooting at the boat landing. The director asked if he could use the canoe in a shot. I managed to say "yes" and tried to ask for water but could barely get the word out. He figured it out and gave me two cups of water. A half hour later I was feeling like I might live and an hour later I was sucking down Gatorade like a mad man at the convenience store. Fresh water is a beautiful thing. ps Swamp water does not taste good. :O)
