I had a fantastic morning at the Pukka Races Only Fools Ride - TopicsExpress

I had a fantastic morning at the Pukka Races Only Fools Ride Horses race this morning, with one of my bootcamp buddies Diane Gerard. This was a 4 mile cross country course with 20 different horse jumps, killer hills, tyres to climb over, sandbags to carry up over a hill and back down again, an awesome belly slide run down a hill and to finish off before going over the finish line having to do 5 burpees and monkey bars. I had so much fun with this and although the horse jumps were hard and very close together, I got over them all, some of the hills were hard to get up and had walk/run some of them. Once I got to the hill with the sandbags one guy said to me do you want me to take it up for you, I said no its okay I aint giving up and he smiled and said fair play to you, belly sliding down the hill was great fun I got my arms and legs up as far as I could and I shot down, went off the mat and smack into the grass and hay getting covered in it, I had a lot of people offering help around the course which I didnt need and they said it was there if I needed it but I was doing a great job and very inspiring. I found the end hard as the monkey bars were quite high up and and a fair distance between each one and couldnt do it so had to extra burpees as a forfeit and then got my sprint finish over the line. (Monkey bars will get practise for the next one). One of the guys from the group Dirty Mudda Funkers congratulated me from last weeks muddy five which they raced too and said I had done done an awesome job of todays race and that I deserved one of their headbands and an honoury member of the group lol. Got a great medal which I very proudly earnt and finished the race in 48.28 which Im really pleased with :) :) got a few grazes and a nasty sting to the bottom of my left leg to add to the collection but worth it
