I had just taped my second appearance on Into The Night Starring Rick Dees. (It was a late-night talk show that ran from 1992 to about 1992.) The talent coordinator-- a fine gentleman (who is no longer with us) by the name of Steve Dacri wished to talk to me about the possibility of managing my career. He set up a meet at Mirabelle (a restaurant on Sunset, which is no longer with us). I arrived early. Of course. I went to the tiny bar. I ordered a drink. On one side of me was David Soul, wearing half-glasses and poring over a script. On the other side was Hal Needham, drinking and talking with someone and telling his companion just how difficult it was to be Hal Needham in Hollywood in 1992. An authentic Hollywood moment. I was too nervous to absorb the details of the conversation. Hal-- like Steve and like the Mirabelle... and, I suppose, like David Souls career, is no longer with us.
