I had planned on not putting any poetry on my wall again until I - TopicsExpress

I had planned on not putting any poetry on my wall again until I finish my devotional, but I have realized from reading the paper and watching the news and surfing the web and reading what my friends have to say that many of us are struggling with hope. This whole healthcare thing has thrown the country for a loop. And although I see both sides, I am currently without insurance and uninsurable - and so I really have a vested interest in the outcome of the debate. But as I have prayed and meditated and listened for God, I have been reminded that whatever happens in this, God is my provider and my helper and my comfort and my HEALER. So here is a poem on hope. Look for more in the days to come. Hope in all Circumstance It doesn’t matter what the government does, For my hope is in Your grace. No statute or tax that ever was Can hide me from Your face. It doesn’t matter what I have in the bank, For my hope is in Your love. All that I have can go down the drain, My wealth comes from above. It doesn’t matter who stands with me, My hope is only in You. I will fix my eyes on Calvary And trust in the good You do. For the world cannot affect me; They have no real control. My hope doesn’t even rest on me, But in the God who holds my soul. Rachel N Messer
