I had to delete Paul Howard because he blocked me. I have no change being an admin if the members of this group blocks me. I had to also delete on of his post to remove him from the group, since I could no longer see him amongst the members. Here is the thread I removed: Paul Howard Bhagavan uvaca means Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krsna. Sometimes they say, Blessed Lord said. No. Why you say? The Supreme Personality of Godhead Krsna said. prabhupadabooks/classes/initiations/initiation_sri_ranga_romaharsana_sridhara_dasas/los_angeles/july/03/1970 Like · Share · March 21 at 10:14pm · Edited Ajit Kṛṣṇa Dāsa This change has been discussed on numerous websites: Your quote is from 1970. This quote is from 1975 (and it is in a book): In every verse Vyasadeva says, sri-bhagavan uvaca, the Supreme Personality of Godhead said, or the Blessed Lord said. It is clearly stated that the Blessed Lord is the Supreme Person, but Mayavadi atheists still try to prove that the Absolute Truth is impersonal. >>> Ref. VedaBase => Madhya 6.132 Being both a later statement and from a book this later quote exceeds the other in authority. Besides this Srila Prabhupada had The Blessed Lord read aloud to him hundreds of times, and he even read it aloud in lectures himself. He NEVER asked it to be changed. If he had really wanted it changed, then he had from 1968 to almost 1973 to demand the change. But even though he said what he did in this particular quote you are giving, he did not demand the change. Hayagriva: I would like to see that in going over mine. I’ll have to go over it chapter by chapter. But I will compare the version I have with that version, and… I know the translations themselves, they were somewhat changed in Bhagavad-gītā As It Is as it came out in Macmillan. Did you like those translations? Prabhupāda: Whichever is better, you think. That’s all. You can follow this Macmillan. Hayagrīva: That was the second… They’re good. I think they’re very good. Prabhupāda: Yes. You can follow that translation. Simply synonyms he can add, transliterations. Hayagrīva: And we have all the purports. We can include everything. Nothing will be deleted. Everything will be in there. Prabhupāda: That’s all right. (Discussion with BTG Staff, December 24, 1969, Boston) March 21 at 10:48pm · Edited · Like · 1
