I have a blouse of my Moms and it is probably 50 years old but I like it and wear it to work. Its really a no iron blouse--comes out of the dryer like new. Its plaid and that made me think of Dan River. They made fabric. That made me think of my Mom being such a wonderful seamstress and how proud I was of the clothes she made me. That made me think of women sewing our clothes. Katie Spurgeon was great too and Mrs. Carnicom. Thats a skill that has really been lost. No one takes the time and trouble to sew anymore. Sad really. Of course, thats because every family needs to have both people working to survive. Hmm.
