I have a friend with diminished mental capacity. Not crazy. Not mentally retarded. He was born just a bit slower than the rest of us. Hes a good kid. Just turned 26. He is currently living in Robertson, Wyoming by Lyman and his place to stay is not going to be available anymore and very soon he will be homeless. This boy WILL NOT SURVIVE on the streets. He has no family in the area he can stay with. He used to work here in Rock Springs and was hired back at his old job in the White Mountain Mall a second time before that company folded. They loved him to death! He has a great work ethic! He needs to come back to Rock Springs while they work on his Social Security Disability claim and so he can also find a job. This is the hardest working kid I know. Pleasant, non-drinker, non-smoker. He needs a place to live, just a room with bathroom access until he can get on his feet. He can do manual labor for rent until he can find employment or gets accepted for SSI. I have no room for him, but I can get his laundry done and help him with food and bus fare/transportation to a job until he can do it himself. It doesnt matter if its a room in a trailer, a house or even a camper in your backyard. Dear God, I cant imagine this kid fending for himself on the street with winter on the way!
