I have a knack for unintentionally offending people and want to - TopicsExpress

I have a knack for unintentionally offending people and want to tread carefully with this post. For the thoughts of our mutual friend, Jim Bath, I am wholly grateful. I do want to point out, regarding condolences sent specifically to me, that his final slumber is not my loss any more than it is a loss to a lot of other people. I was his friend, business partner in a small way and, much to my joy, his chronicler, working on his biography, but I am not the sole or best recipient of condolences. Jim made a point of keeping needs for assistance as sparse as possible and of spreading them out across his circle of friends so as to not be overly burdensome to any one person. Doug Campbell, Tim Parker, David Walen, Genevieve Barker and others did more for him than I did. He has family, feeling his loss as family feels loss. Tommy Blake, Benny Hill, Laura McLean and the rest of the people who visited him in hospice and pushed forward his place in their hearts and minds are all feeling what Im feeling. Sandy Williams continues to do for Jim, building a tribute to him into a Rusty Nail event next week. That says something about the man, that condolences, to be accurately directed, must be very broadly directed. So theres that. My sincere condolences to a very large group of people for the loss of Jim Bath
