I have an interesting question/topic: So we all love comics and superheroes. And, yes there are plenty of superheroes that are ordinary guys (and ladies) in costume, albeit in terrific shape or peak physical condition, or trained in some way to make them formidable, but. it seems that the greater part of superheros today is devoted to people with superhuman powers and abilities above and beyond that of ordinary man. So we accept that these people have these powers. But, [and here is the question/topic...]... ...Have you ever read an issue (or arc) where you felt that a heros power or superhuman ability kind of jumped the shark? Like, even accepting their power, they were able to do something with it that really kind of defied the logic of the power, or just didnt make any sense? I use for example, in the early FFs when Namor absorbs and redirects electricity, or once when Cyclops recharges his optic power by also channeling electric current from a wall outlet (his charges come from the sun, I think). I thought about this because in another comment and thread, Iceman is being talked about being able to absolute zero freeze the whole planet. I thought the idea of immortal mutants, the X-ternals (I think), was a bit too much. ...Anyway, when has a heros power base been abused, to your mind, and just taken you out of the story?
