I have an unusual childhood, I guess you might say. My best - TopicsExpress

I have an unusual childhood, I guess you might say. My best friends family would take me to Tombstone where I would play on the swing set by the O.K. Corrall so I could see in on the upward swing rather than pay an admission price. I jumped over open mine shafts with Mexican friends and played by the graves of Ike Clanton and Billy (victims of the famous gun fight). At age 15 we moved to Alaska where I rode dog sleds and hunted big game with a Winchester 300 magnum. In Alaska winters I would race cross country skiing against some of the best Canadian teams around. I had severe frostbite twice and thought Id lose a foot at one point. I was trapped under a race built on oil barrels in the Great Tanana Raft Race and dodged bullets later that day from irate drunks. I studied opera at the University of Alaska while forming my own country and western band on the side. Somewhere in the midst of all that, I met the Lord Jesus and felt His presence in my life, protecting me in spite of my interesting lifestyle. A lot has happened since then but I still have the Lord. In His Word, He promised to never leave me nor forsake me and He has sure been good for that promise. If you all are interested, Ill share some more about my journey as we go along. Its really a story about Gods patience, love and guidance. He sure has been good to me.
