I have been commissioned by Action for ME to write an article about referral pathways to specialist ME services in the NHS (in the UK). I am going to talk to some NHS specialists about how patients reach their clinics - but of course it is very important to hear from patients about their experiences too. If you have tried to access an NHS ME clinic, and would like to share your experience, do let me know. I am keen to include material on both patients with severe ME and those seeking an out of area referral, or a referral to other specialties (eg a pain clinic), because there is no local ME service. All contributions very gratefully received, and you can of course choose to remain anonymous.
