I have been remiss in making this post! While we are so very proud of all the athletes that took part in the Open competition, we should take the time to acknowledge those super badass athletes that qualified for Regionals!! On the Individual competition level we had 4 Taranis athletes qualify to compete as Individual athletes at the Canada West Regional competition. These athletes are: Angie Hay - LuLu Steve Howell - PT Stevie Paul Land - The Dingo Jackie Snell - Jacked Snail (cuz shes so slow ;) ) We also had BOTH teams qualify for Regionals!!! wooooohooooo! This is a huge accomplishment with the talent in the Canada West CF community these days! Team Taranis CFT Thunder What does all this mean? Well, of the Individual qualifying athletes we have Steve Howell accepting his invitation to compete as an Individual Athlete. Angie, Paul and Jackie will be joining Team Taranis in the Team Competition and have declined their Individual spots. This afternoon we will be finalizing the rosters for both Taranis and Thunder. This means we narrow down to 8 people listed for each team. On Regionals weekend 6 people for each team will take the floor and represent your gym!! Tonight I will be posting the final 16 athletes. Canada West Regionals date: May 9, 10 and 11, 2014 Location: The Richmond Olympic Oval Please follow the widget below for any other relevant information. This is a huge weekend for our gym and an incredible experience to be a part of. Last year we had a huge fan base come over to cheer us on and it honestly does make a difference to your athletes on the wod floor to have support in the crowd. Looking into the bleachers and seeing the Taranis tshirts and fist pumps of support can drive an athlete those few extra steps to get the job done.
