I have been upset the past few days so I am just gonna put it out there! Im not trying to be mean, just want people to hear my side. Another crafter has been telling my customers that I have copied her stenciling designs for several years now which couldnt be farther from the truth. About 3 years ago I ask on Face Book does anyone have any barn wood they would sell. Someone told me to ask Becky Corns that she had some. I did not know Becky at this time, but I sent her a message & ask...she said no... only for her own use. I had ordered some stencils from Ebay so went to Home Depot & bought wood. After that I became a customer of Beckys. Then one day a friend of mine told me that Becky was telling people that came in her shop that I was copying her work. This went on for some time, then she begin to comment on line, so I blocked her. I have never copied her work in fact a person at that time ask me to do a sign & I said NO Becky does that one. The stencils are there available for anyone to buy & I order what people want or I think people would like. There is no copyright & if there were the stencil maker wouldnt make them. I never once went to her page to see what she was doing & decide to do what shes done. I have no idea what she is doing, I do my own thing but the accusations are still going on!! WHY?? Ive ignored it for a long time, but today I decided to speak up. Those of you who dont know me probably believed it because my friends would tell me what she said & posted & it was one big pity party. There is enough business to go around, & no need to stab anyone in the back. Just about everything in her store with the exception of candles comes already made or someone else did it, so why she worried about me. I tell people about our locals Marples Tattered and Torn Primitives, Kimberly Jackson Glass, Emily Hughart, Penny Thirey, Primitive Wares & others & I dont have a problem with it & they send people to me. Theres gonna be times 2 people do the same sign but deliberately NO!! If 3 people did the same sign all 3 would look different. I would so appreciate it if the Bad Mouthing would stop.
