I have been working for SIs over 6 years and hell we are indeed trained for such stress. We dont need any lecture from the boss or HR, we can give a talk about productivity, efficiency and management at a snap of a finger. This is why I always emphasize never to work for SMEs. Always go for civil service or MNCs. The working culture in SMEs are so bad it is no surprise they face severe manpower shortage. The HR is just an administrator in SMEs, HR best practices are never adopted and the system simply never improve.
