I have given it much thought and decided I do not want to have ice water dumped on me for ALS, a fatal illness of the nervous system, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Instead I am going to donate to this worthy cause online. I will also join the ALS walk they have, more than likely next year in the closest city because presently there is none happening in Yellowknife or in the whole NWT. I like the idea of course, of doing the challenge & although some folks say ts not too bad, Its an awesome feeling afterwards, etc I just cant wrap my brain around it. I want to thank my brother Curtis Mandeville for nominating me to do the Ice Bucket Challenge...He did give me a lot to think about, (sorry bro -no ice water for me) in turn I will support ALS with a donation to help them raise much needed funds for people who suffer from this debilitating disease. I guess I cant exactly nominate others to do the Ice Bucket challenge because I havent done it myself...but if I could (& if they agree:) ) I would nominate Darrel Marshall, Miriam Gordon & Robert Burns to do the ice bucket challenge &/or a donation online.
