I have had a question on ant control in the home I would like to share with you! The question was about possibly having Pharaoh Ants in my kitchen. This person had read information on line about a natural way to get rid of them and all of the nests/colonies. The control they were told to use included chopped liver with boric acid. The bellies are dark brown and they run like crazy ants when I see them on my sink. My reply is that you probably have what is called crazy ants not Pharaoh Ants. Pharaoh Ants move very slowly and you stated these ants run crazy. However, The control is similar. Unfortunately I do not know of any natural way of eliminating the colony because I do not use products not registered for ant control. However, if this was my problem, I would use Advion Ant Gel. This product comes in a tube and you apply droplet sized placements in areas not accessible to people and pets. Once the ants feed upon the bait you will get control. You will probably want to make some type of application outside the home as well to make sure you have no colonies seeking a food source inside the home. I hope this help!
