I have had friends and family ask what I am doing in Iowa and for how long. I am working for a pipeline company called InfraSource as a Project Engineer along with my good friend Bob Nagel who is the project Superintendent. The job site is at Northern Natural Gas Co. in Redfield, Iowa. We are laying about 6000 feet of pipe and tying into 2- wells and installing separators at 2-different locations. The project is scheduled for about 2-months, but with all the rain we have been having we are a couple of weeks behind. The job site is about 35 miles NW of Des Moines in the middle of miles and miles and miles of corn and soy bean fields. I live in a Motel in a town named Desoto which is about 12 miles from the job site. John Waynes birth place is just down the road from where I am staying. If you ever saw the movie The Bridges of Madison County with Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood, I live right in the middle of Madison County. Absolutely beautiful countryside!!!!! I have been in the Midwest now for just over a month and miss my Wife and family terribly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
