I have had the privilege of volunteering at a Non Profit Camp for our Disabled Veterns. It is in the process of being completed and is located on the Divide outside of Joseph, OR. It is called Divide Camp. Yesterday I had the opportunity to meet the first visiting Vet to the camp - what an honor. It has been an unforgettable experience to be a part of this outreach and I would love to encourage any of you to visit the website dividecamp.org Hands of the Divide Divide Camp – Meeting Tyler The road is long, winding and rough - testing the body and mind with its twists Leaving in question the journey now traveled and wondering of horizons that lie yet ahead - Instinct pulls spirit in stride I found a young man gently standing at trails end - sweet swaying in time with bough and limb No distance nor withdrawn, nothing missing or displaced Only peace in the depths of eyes quieted by rest Tender the skin that dresses his face, softly a smile lifts freely with grace Words kindly spoken, genuine - unbroken, he moves effortlessly upon wind bathed air Filled with the purity of mountain and wood, cleansed in the water of nature and love ….I met a man restored and renewed, touched by the hand of God Divine intervention, servant hood unmarred, “the angels” await wounded of war Lay down your life for another in need, the purist of heart - the finest of deed His calling is clear, His purpose to heal - both the broken and servant as one With hands open wide and hearts endless deep, His beloveds move in moment and time Giving as asked with compassion and love - of body, soul, spirit and mind John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends
